LGP Type Chain Plate Sludge Scraper and Skimmer

Purpose

The chain-plate type sludge scraper and skimmer is mainly used for horizontal flow (rectangular) sedimentation tanks, especially for collecting and removing bottom sludge from rectangular tanks such as grit chambers, primary sedimentation tanks, secondary sedimentation tanks, and oil separators in wastewater treatment projects. At the same time, it can remove surface oil and scum. It features a simple integrated structure for dual purposes, convenient installation, operation, and maintenance, and safe and reliable performance.

Structure and working principle

The technological structure and working mode of the chain plate type sludge scraper and scum spreader:

It is mainly composed of a deceleration driving device fixed on the tank surface, a traction chain with scrapers, a transmission chain and a tensioning device, a safety protection device, etc. installed in the tank.

The deceleration driving device transmits power to the traction chain through the sprocket pair to drive the scraper to make a directional continuous rotary operation along the upper and lower tracks in the tank. During the operation, the scraper continuously scrapes the sediment at the bottom of the tank and the oil scum on the tank surface into the sludge collecting trough and the scum discharge pipe respectively, and discharges them out of the tank.

Main features

1. There are many scraping plates, with strong sludge scraping ability;

2. The moving speed of the scraping plates is moderate, causing little disturbance to the sewage and facilitating the precipitation of suspended solids;

3. The scraping plates make continuous rotary motion in the tank without the need for round-trip reversing, and the driving device is installed on the platform on the pool surface, making power distribution and maintenance very simple:

4. It can also be used as a skimming machine without additional mechanisms;

5. There are no heavy structural components and supporting parts in the system, resulting in low energy consumption of the system.
