The inclined tubes are mainly used for sedimentation and sand removal. They are the most widely used and mature water treatment devices in the water supply and drainage engineering in the past decade. They have the advantages of wide application range, high treatment efficiency, and small floor area. They are mainly used for sand removal at the water inlet in water supply and drainage engineering, sedimentation of industrial and domestic water, sewage sedimentation, oil separation, and tailings concentration treatment. They can also be used for the renovation of old tanks. The main features are: large wetted perimeter, small hydraulic radius, good laminar flow state, and the particle sedimentation is not affected by the flocculation water flow.
