The XL rotary strainer is a commonly used solid-liquid separation device for water treatment, which is mainly used to intercept and remove the suspended matters with smaller diameter and particulate impurities in water supply systems. It is often used in water supply projects such as waterworks with surface water as the source and can also be used in drainage treatment projects to further remove impurities from the water source after the coarse grate.

The device is of a rotary type. A water passage grate surface is formed by a strainer belt made up of one-by-one screens. When sewage flows through, the debris larger than the grate gap is intercepted. During operation, the strainer grate rotates continuously in a cycle. Debris trapped on the grate is lifted onto the top and then washed down into the receiving trough by pressurized water for further treatment. The strainer grate has a strong self-cleaning ability and will not clog.

4. To prevent accidental overload, it is equipped with dual protection of mechanical shear pins and overcurrent, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the equipment.
