QL Type High-Efficiency Fiber Ball Filters
Purpose
The QL high-efficiency fiber ball filter uses spherical filter media made of fibers. It is a new filter element that represents the progress and development following filter media such as anthracite, quartz sand, ceramsite, and foam plastic particles. This filter media made of chemical fiber filaments is different from traditional filter media. It is a compressible soft filter media with a large specific surface area and porosity, accounting for 90% - 95% of the filter media layer. It is widely used in the pretreatment of industrial water supply, wastewater reuse, air-conditioning circulating water, swimming pool circulating water, oilfield injection water, and the filtration treatment of high-precision water in chemical and electronic industries.
Structure and working principle
During the operation of the fiber balls, due to the resistance generated by the water flow passing through the filter material layer, the fiber balls are flexible and their pores can be compressed. With the filtration working pressure and the self-weight of the filter material, the porosity of the filter layer gradually decreases along the water flow direction, forming an ideal distribution state with a loose upper part and a dense lower part. Therefore, it has a strong pollutant interception ability, good water quality, and the filtration rate can reach 20 - 80 m/h.
Compared with other filter materials such as quartz sand, the fiber ball filter material has the characteristics of large interception capacity, high filtration rate, small head loss, and long operation cycle. The regeneration of the fiber ball filter material requires air and water backwashing and can be used repeatedly.
