The LGS chain-type sand remover is used in horizontal-flow grit chambers or aeration grit chambers of sewage treatment plants to remove deposited sand and mud and can also be used for sand-water separation in industrial wastewater such as alloys and chemicals.

The chain-type sand remover mainly uses the scraper on the rotating chain to scrape the sand that settles at the bottom of the chamber out of the chamber and then enters into the collection hopper to complete the separation of sand and water, which can operate continuously and intermittently, and the discharged sand is close to dry sand without the need for further separation.
