Deodorization and sludge treatment

Sludge low-temperature drying project of the Second Water Quality Purification Center in Daya Bay, Guangdong

Project Scale:

Designed absolute dry sludge treatment capacity W = 11.2 TDS/d

Project Introduction:

The Daya Bay Project is located in the Daya Bay Development Zone, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It is the sludge low-temperature drying project for the sludge system of the Phase III engineering project of the Second Water Quality Purification Plant of Daya Bay Water Group. The designed absolute dry sludge treatment capacity W = 11.2 TDS/d, which is 56 t/d calculated based on 80% moisture content. The original moisture content is 99.2%, the original sludge volume is 1400 t/d, and the moisture content after dewatering is 40%. The working time for the pretreatment stage is 24.0 h, and the working time for low-temperature drying is 24.0 h. The sludge drying process flow is: sludge storage tank → sludge lifting screw pump → multi-disk screw press → high-pressure belt press → wet hopper, screw conveyor → cutting machine → low-temperature drying main unit → scraper conveyor → dry hopper → transportation by sludge truck, with the output sludge moisture content less than 40%. Deodorization system: ion fresh air system, biological deodorization system.

Construction began on June 5, 2023. Installation and commissioning personnel overcame difficulties such as poor site construction conditions and worked hard for over 2 months to complete installation by the end of August. In September, power was supplied for single-machine commissioning, and sludge process commissioning began in early October. This project is the first sludge low-temperature drying and sludge reduction project in the Daya Bay Development Zone. Leaders at all levels (the owner, the supervisor, the general contractor Jindalai, and the operator) gave high evaluations and affirmations to our company's construction progress, site management, and construction quality.
